His first education marks Yury Alschitz as Stanislavsky’s “grandson”: his teacher Yury Malkovsky was Stanislavsky’s student. His second education was taken by Alschitz at Mikhail Butkevich’s course of improvisation. He then became one of the founders of the well-known School of Dramatic Art, now run by Anatoly Vasiliev. Yury Akschitz works in the West since 1992, in Berlin, where he founded the actor’s school AKT-ZENT, he also runs the experimental laboratory of the International Theatre Institute (UNESCO). The concept of his teaching is focused on improvisation as the most important method of work in the theatre.
